Following successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Nationally Recognised Certificate (HLTAID0012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting) via email on the same day of the course. We recommend that you refresh your CPR Certificate every twelve months as per the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. Your First Aid Certificate is valid for three years.
Course Overview: Participants will learn basic resuscitation skills including how to perform CPR on an infant, child and adult. This course will also cover the principles of Automated External Defibrillation and participants will have ample opportunity to utilise our training defibrillators.
We will also cover topics such as Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Bleeding, Burns, Choking, Crush Injury Syndrome, Diabetes, Envenomation, Febrile Convulsions, Fractures, Heart Conditions, Stroke, Shock and Seizures.
We teach in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
Entry Requirements: As Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is generally conducted on the ground, participants will be required to perform two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. We also recommend that participants have a good understanding of the English language.
